Overlap

by

One of the places on the map where the overlapping satellite images make for a weird perspective is in downtown Dallas. I’ve been staring at this for a while and I can’t get my head around the perspective change.

Rainbow Bridge, Utah

by

The world’s largest natural bridge. The surrounding landscape is very surreal, it all looks like it is sculpted out of play dough.

The Titan Missile Musem

by

The Titan Missile Museum in AZ is the only publicly accessible Titan II missile site in the USA. Zoom in and note the tiny black half-circle… that’s the half-open silo. It’s kept that way so the “soviets” can peer inside with their satellites and see that it’s not an active missile site any more.

Alcatraz

by

Alcatraz Island located in the middle of San Francisco Bay in California. It was formerly used as a military stockade and later as a maximum security prison (just like in the A-Team). Today, the island is a historic site supervised by the National Park Service as part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and is open to tours.
