If there is nothing going on there why is the govt. acting so secretive? How much are they paying Google to “blur” these out? Who owns the satillite Google uses?
ha! i guarantee companies like terraimaging and aerial imaging didn’t remove such images by choice. i read elsewhere that specific images/resolutions were ‘forcibly’ removed. all of the best satellite imagery companies have been targeted. but, if you look hard enough on the net, you can still find those images, having been snagged by smart people before they were ‘confiscated’.
hope for aliens; expect nothing more than excessive secrecy.

The original picture submitted of “area 51″ is indeed an airbase but i dont think it it “the area 51″. Nellis AFB is a huge spread and if you do any searching for any other man made landmarks in that hunk of desert you’ll notice that the instalments further west are kept from detailed recognition. The photo supplied might have had more “top seceret” flying objects back in the day but in the 60’s it was the main testing/ proving/ training base of many operations such as the June 1962 operation OXCART. Oxcart involved the Blackbird and the develpment of technologies involved. I just happened to look at that very spot today and there was a newer shot than i had seen before. All i saw was large bomber type jets on the runways. Two Blackhawk type Heli’s on the north part of the instalment and two fighter jets on the Westen side near (apparently) the hangers. I honestly do not think this site holds any valuable information for current “top secert” operations due to the ability of people hicking in from the East. I’d like to see if anyone could come up with anything from some ot the other instalments. One that i would like to mention is the “target-like” area north west of this photo. (it’s not a target range notibly due to the electrical towers spanning across this perfectly symetrical area). The most entertaining thing about Nellis and Las Vegas is that during the 50’s and what not some 80 atomic devices were detonated above surface, what ever happened to the fall-out, isn’t Las Vegas downwind of Nellis and what is the ground water like there.

A secret milatary base. Well that is, it was untill some idiot from the milatary decided to tell everyone the weather balloon spy divice (they were going to use it on the Rusians) that exploded was a UFO. I’m pretty sure he lost his job. They test new wepons and make new stuff. People shouldn’t know about! It was ment to be secret.

just so you guys know, all you have to do to find area 51 is type it in.

ok people, as much as i want to believe everything your posting, its impossible. the gov’t is not stupid enough to allow google to take pictures of their top scecretest airbase. you all know the movie independence day right? well the producers went to the gov’t and asked for money to make the movie with, well thet gov’t said it was a great movie, but they had to take out every mention of “area 51″. so u think the gov’t will allow anyone to view this? i think not. there also has been speculation that it is no longer there, that they have moved to a new location around Denver somewheres. so please stop saying they are testing nuclear weapons, because they are NOT. there is a treaty sign way back during the cold war banning the test of nuclear weapons in the atmosphere. you can keep on thinking your seeing aliens and crater holes at area 51, but ur not. the gov’t would block it out if they were hiding things that we were not meant to see. so leave it alone please…

Sorry for bumping this post, but I have found something quite interesting, I don’t have any idea what it is.
The closest location to this object is Nellis Air Force Base Pond. It’s a small object, according to the scale, it’s no more than 10 metres. Well, take a look for yourself.

If you go north/northwest on the map about 10,000 feet from the northmost building, there is an oasis! Take a look. Lots of water surrounded by lush green foliage. The ONLY foliage for hundreds of miles in any direction, by the way. Curiously, the water looks to have two large pumps discharging into it. Pretty weird…
Hmm… I heard on a T.V. Special about Area 51 that the goverment can do nothing to stop compainies from taking pictures of Area 51 and other bases except camoflauge it from the images using special blanket material. So why doesn’t google get a high res picture of the suposed s4 location like they have of area 51? All they need is a picture as high res as area 51 to disprove s4 a less it is actually there.
If the goverment wants to prove it doesn’t exist then they should allow a high res of s4.

Yes, it is Area 51. Simple research beyond this site will tell you that’s it. As far as the craters go, feel free to check the Nevada Test Site webage, it will show you the same pictures from ground level with all the same info people here are stating. They are not currently testing them there, they did both atmospheric and underground test there for a LONG time.
The term Area 51 can be used by anyone because it’s not even the actual name of the facility, in fact, it really doesnt even have a name.
The dont need to block things out, they don’t just leave top secret projects sitting on a runway 24 hours a day 7 days a week, not to mention they’re sorta ‘connected’ to most of the satellite operators.

If you use google maps (i no longer have google earth) you can see Area 51 quite well.
I have a few questions that I hope can be answered.
North of Area 51 (just type in area 51 into maps.google.com’s search bar) there is a series of green dots. Any diea what these are?
Scarier still…if you zoom out a bit,..there is another dry lake bed at about 10 o’clcok or so from “Groom Lake” (the area 51 lake bed) If you zoom into this dry lake bed…you will see what appears to be a giant series of circles. Kind of like a dart board. The closer you zoom in…the circles get bigger and bigger. It’s like a gigantic target.
Has ayone else noticed these or have any explanations for them?
Area 51 is just an extreamly cleaver cover up for an even better kept secret, an instilation called s4. it is about 15 miles from area 51.look for it on the map or even the satilite and tell me if you find it ( i dont think you will).
I was looking in the area of “Area 51″ on this site and on google earth, well the buildings on the south of the crater are no where to be seen on google earth….kinda weird i think
right for a start if u have hered that area 51 has migs u maybe right on google if u go to area 51 and go to the 4 big white buildings at the top and zoom in and on the left side of the buildings theres two planes r these migs or not i have looked at pics of migs and i think thay r and yes its very true that there is no crime in google or any other sattalight takeing pics of area 51 and the thing is there more black opp places out there that the goverment has blocked google and the rest from taking pic of so y not area 51 i have done a lot of resherch on area 51 and s4 and iv read documents that sugest that area 51 has made a virus that can reheal skin in secs things r going on there and we should beable to acses thes file we whant to no whats gong on at this base the govement say area 51 has move in 1997 but this place is still alive with ppl and planes flying in and out i beleve some thing it going on at the high tec base
I think that what we see is just the “cheery ” on the cake.When USA signed that accord they knew very well that “Dreamland” will be seen.I think that in the underground is the most important part.Bob Lazar. a man who worked there and can demonstrate it, said that the most “secret” part of area 51 is s-4 zone. On a satelite pictue i saw that lil’ zone.It’s too small.The rest of it is sure in the underground

the green circles that are next to rachel nevada are covering the actual area 51 base which is right next to it so the place south of there when you type in area 51 isnt really area 51

I have looked at the Google map of Area 51 and there are some Hi Res Parts but the part where Supposed area S4 should be is not Hi-Rez.. Hummm?

what the hell are the green circles just North of “Area 51″? they look just like green circle when you zoomed out, but when you get a big closer they look compltely different, heres a link:

hey just wanted to comment about the green circles north of area 51, if u use the mesuring tool in the bottom left, these green circle are over half mile wide so i dont think they are watering area for plants

This one has to be a crater from a neuclear bomb. Look at it’s size compared to the road right next to it.

look it would have been a mixture of nukes and other artilery and if you went there i am sure they would have told you that, because i cant imagine they would just do nukes in that spot, like 250-300 nukes , ummm i dont think so, and if they did just nukes i wish them all to hell, every single one of them.

Your all wrong. S4 does exist. Your just looking in the wrong place. No government cover up and in high res. Try 37º09′30.69″N 115º55′37.20ºW elevation 1675m. Its in the mountain range between the dry lake and the crater fields. You’ll see two ufo landing pads and the sand textured doors leading into the mountain. Lazar drew a picture of this place back in 1990, before Google Earth and before the internet. Be prepared to be in awe. Enjoy.

no point in looking at area 51, you won’t find anything everything that is there has been blurred out. Bill Gates (creator of google) and the goverment are all buildin underground bunkers hoping they will survive December 21st 2012. the green circles are irrigated fields, read about rachel, nv water is only 150 ft deep there, also bob lazar is a quack, and yes the government hides things, the f117a was developed in the 70’s yet we never heard of or seen it till the early 90’s. and yes most of us like conspiracies, there fun just to speculate!!! and the fallout from a-bombs, do people live in hiroshima or nagasaki??? yes they do. if people can inhabit recent blasts (given uranium has a 10k year half-life) then a few turtles and wild horses can survive as well
