Another military/spook/intelligence post. Here is the CIA headquarters.

Contrary to popular belief it’s not in Langley,VA, but in the Langley suburb of McLean,VA.

Big car park for a relatively small building. You think maybe it goes down a long way…

  2. Tony says:

Well, if you want to get technical, McLean is just a neighborhood of Fairfax County, Va.

  3. Matthew says:

Holy jesus there are alot of parking spaces in NASAs headquarters … thousands

  4. Wayne says:

NSA (National Security Agency), not NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration)

  5. Sebastian says:

you can see some type of fence running through the woods on the east and north of the complex – and what do you think the field is for to the west?

  6. King Bonehead says:

The fence to the west separates CIA from the National Highway Administration Testing center. To the east, it separates CIA from the George Washington Memorial Parkway.

Langley is an area of McLean which, itself, is an unincorporated town in Fairfax County. The official address of CIA is Washington, D.C.

  7. Matthew says:

Ohh NSA…. still alot of parking spots ! What’s the need for so many ?

  8. Wayne says:

    > Ohh NSA…. still alot of parking spots ! What’s the need for so many ?

The NSA is one of the bigger intelligence agencies (http://www.nsa.gov). Lots of analysts and technicians needed to track signals intelligence, including broadcast/telephone/internet.

BTW, I noticed that my original post of the URL showing the NSA headquarters was removed. Strange. If you’re interested, point Google Maps to Fort Meade, MD, and look for the large building in the huge parking lot, just north of the highway.

    • blow-me-oh says:

why, those parking spots are to accomadate the many guests at the torturers convention, held every year at the HQ, where interrogators and human rights Shit-on-Ers meet toswap techniques and look at expo’s of new torture tech every Sep 13.

  9. Wayne says:

Correction: right by the big highway cloverleaf. Hard to miss.

  10. Wayne says:

    That’s it.

anyone want to speculate as to what this is? http://tinyurl.com/czaxo
i notice the bridge to the island doesn’t appear on the regular street map.

  12. Rudy says:

Yeah, that bridge and tiny island are “Roosevelt Memorial Island” and the bridge is a pedestrian bridge that you can use to get to the island. It has a monument to one of the presidents Roosevelt — Theodore, I believe. You can walk all over the island. Not exactly a spook sighting, sorry…

  13. Josh says:

Look at the northeast corner of the courtyard- that’s Kryptos, the infamous sculpture with the undeciphered code.

  14. Xrlq says:

Matthew & Wayne: neither NSA nor NASA is headquartered here. Matthew may have been thinking of NASA’s Langley Research Center, which is located in the other Langley, VA. Yes, there are two. No clue whose brilliant idea that was.

  15. mobcat40 says:

lmao I love the guy who’s parked right in the middle of the empty lot, he’s the rebel

  16. Jen says:

There are many CIA buildings hidden in the Washington DC area. Try looking at the Whitehouse. The ‘8′ shaped building across the street to the West is a CIA Building too. (It’s the main mailing adress for the CIA)(I find the parking for that one hilarious)
Another one is in Herndon, VA. It is the building that a panoramia icon saying “1997 Reston Verginia” is over. (It is actually a group of small buildings)

  17. Charles says:

Do you have an address or location for the Herndon address? I have some business near the airport to do and I am curious.

  18. Ana says:

Is there a huge water fountain somewhere on the grounds? Or am I looking at the wrong CIA complex? I never really knew there were two Langley’s. Strange…

  19. A says:

    terminate the thread

  20. Rachel says:

EXACTLY why are there so MANY CIA buildings???? It’s irritating me to death. How do we know which is the CENTRAL one???

    Sigh…. PLEASE answer this one
