The Mackinac bridge (which connects the lower and upper peninsulas of Michigan) is the 3rd largest suspension bridge in the world. At five miles in length, it is the third-longest suspension bridge in the world.
Seriously, check it out… it’s pretty big. There’s actually a traffic jam on there too.

Just a little factoid for people that may not know: Mackinac is pronounced Mackinaw.
To the northeast is Mackinac Island, which unfortunately is not in hi-rez. The island is home to Fort Mackinac, built by the British during America’s Revolutionary War, as well as other tourist attractions like the Grand Hotel. Motor vehicles are prohibited on the island, so bicycles and horses are the best way to get around.

It is not so much a traffic jam as a toll booth, just into the low-res imagery on the north end of the bridge.
Just to the left of the Big Mac is Fort Michilimacinac (http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=45.786445,-84.735693&spn=0.004828,0.007221&t=k&hl=en) a reconstructed 18th century wooden stockade fort.
