Mormon Temple, Bethesda

Tuesday, 19th April 2005 by James

Jon Bell submitted this Mormon Temple in Bethesda. He said: “This thing always scared me growing up as my parents drove around the beltway”. Well it might be scary from the ground level but to me it looks like a giant Birthday Cake ;-)

Black Rock City (Burning Man)

by Alex

This is the site of Black Rock City, which is built and torn down every year for the week long annual Burning Man festival.

Chach says:

Looks like this was flown shortly before the festival.. the street grid and intial construction of some core buildings is underway

Burning Man

Thanks to Patrick Nichols, Ottowt, David, Jeff Alu, Daniel Copeland, Gudlyf, Joed Polly, Casey, Andy, Ken Berger, Nomad, Chach… and the several people whose submissions I deleted before I caught your names. My apologies :-D

Pixel Fields

by Alex

This is an awful lot of fields… scroll around for a bit - there’s thousands! And from all the way up here, it looks like some sort of cool pixel-art.

Which might perhaps explain why the farmers chose Pac-Man as their new subject matter when they got bored of rectangles!

Square Fields

Thanks go to Seth for Pac-Man. Cheers mate, geek-tastic!

Oh, there’s also combination rectangles and circles, sent to us by Mik :-)
