This is the border crossing between San Diego and Tijuana. You can see a couple of cars going South on I-5 on the left and multiple lanes of waiting vehicles going north.

Sivash is the shallow system of lagoons that separates Crimea from mainland Ukraine. Home to large-scale salt deposits, Sivash may just contain the most colourful waters to be found in Google Maps, with ponds of blue, beige and organe readily visible.

Look at the slumps a bit south from the border…
If you look at the point where the other satallite image’s corner is, you can see the trolley station (and trolley) that you can ride from San Diego to the border. Of course then you have to walk up inside the brown building/bridge to cross the highway, but at least then the return to the states takes less time. I couldn’t imagine driving down. I’d go crazy waiting to leave again!
At the point when the photo was taken, it is probably between an hour and an hour and a half to cross the border in a car. When you walk, you would probably have to wait half an hour in the pedestrian line. Either way, a real pain in the rear. The best and most reliable way to cross is by bicycle.
