Correction: Up is North, not North West. Downtown Vancouver is on a grid that is 45 degrees rotated from the N-S, E-W grid of the rest of the city, due to the shape of the peninsula.
Really? That’s odd as the maps of other cities appear to be orientated so that north is up and south is down.
