The world’s largest natural bridge. The surrounding landscape is very surreal, it all looks like it is sculpted out of play dough.

For centuries, the port of [Aden][w] has served as Yemen’s gateway to the the world. Its distinctive double harbour lies in the crater of an extinct volcano. Over the years, a number of wrecked ships have accumulated in Aden’s harbour, many of which are visible in Google Maps imagery.

Why visit the world for real?
Actually, Rainbow Bridge is in Utah – just barely, but in Utah, not Arizona.

I gotta say, so far, Utah (and surrounding area) seems to have the best visuals. Panning around after looking at the bridge, I found this area / Google Earth.. very beautiful. Look at the swirl in the water.
This bridge looks like E.T.’s finger, doesn’t it?
look northeast of the natural bridge, there’s something man made in there… what the hell?
sorry, I meant northwest. It’s been a long day.
It’s still a heck of a long way to K-Mart once you get to the other side. Still, what an amazing shot!
Thanks for sharing it!

That manmade structure is a boat dock managed by the National Park Service. Rainbow Bridge is a Navajo holy site, but thousands of visitors visit via boat from Glen Canyon Recreational area and Lake Powell. There are signs that ask you to not go under the bridge, but most visitors do. I, for one, could not do that. It would be like peeing in a church. Bad mojo. Some of the team members on the American Frontiers Public Lands journey (south team) decided to go under the bridge, but I elected to stay on the park side.
I have seen this landmark before, but never from this view! great shot!
