Plus, it has a solid domed roof, while the Silverdome has in inflatable, soft roof. It's not truly a domed structure in the architectural sense, more like a stadium covered with plastic wrap. Even though it's become obsolete by modern NFL "pleasure palace" standards, it's still probably the most amazing sports facility in the US, just based on its sheer size. The small building just south of the dome is New Orleans Arena, home of the New Orleans Hornets of the NBA. The Superdome really is an amazing structure.
