McCoy Stadium, Pawtucket

Monday, 23rd May 2005 by James

Home to the AAA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox (the Pawtucket Red Sox or “PawSox”) is McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Leo Caisse says

It looks like the photo was taken during a game since the parking lots are full and the exposed bleachers on the third-base side appear to be full.

The PawSox won the longest game in the history of baseball in the 33 inning at this stadium. Go Red Sox haha!

    Offical test comment

This photo was not taken durring a game. From the angle of the sun, it appears to be several hours from sunset. The PawSox play few weekday home games before 6:00 pm (I count four on the 2007 schedule). Weekend games are usually at or near capacity, and the parking lot is far from capacity. I am guessing it is a couple hours from a 6:05 or 7:05 game and the cars are for players and staff.

I have many fond memories in that ballpark.
