As the tallest state capitol in the United States the Louisiana State Capitol is 450 feet high with 34 floors. Twenty-five hundred rail cars were needed to bring in the limestone used on the exterior and the interior marbles which came from distant places, including Vermont and Italy.

This building was used to film the movie “Deadly Tower” released in 1975 starting Kurt Russell about the UT Tower Massacre that occured on August 1st, 1966. The University would not allow the film to be made on UT campus so the Louisiana Capitol building was selected which looked very similar to the UT Tower.
The similarities are difficult to see from above except for maybe the shadow: Placemark: Google Maps / Google Earth
Nothing spells “inclusion” like a couple of crucifixs on the state capital grounds.
I’m pretty sure that those are walkways with trees cutting off the corner and not crucifixes. But nice try at being a politically correct troll.
You get a nice view of the capital when you drive by here on the raised lanes of I-10.
If you scroll to the north, you can see the large petroleum complex situated directly in sight of the building. The flaming stacks frame the building as it is seen from I-10 - nicely illustrating what a mess big oil has made out of much of the state.
A little further south on the River (which is the Mississippi R.) you will see the USS Kidd. A Naval Deystroyer from the 40’s. It flew the Skull and Crossbones, and was famous for holding rescued pilots for ice cream mix and such. It is also one of the few WWII era ships that can still fire its guns. Further south of the bridge on the same shore is the Pete Marovich assembly center, and Tiger Stadium.
