I've eaten at River Cafe. Service was slow and snotty, and the food was nothing remarkable. And they are one of the few places that insists on demanding you where a jacket. There are plenty of great restaraunts in Brooklyn. I lived near Smith street and had some great meals for less. I certainly third Grimaldi's, but remember there can be quite a line at lunch, and they don't sell slices.

Seconding Gramaldi's and a walk around the waterfront. Also, check out the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, which is only a short walk down from Gramaldi's.

As a Brooklynite, I can tell you: don't waste your time at that cafe. It's a tourist trap. However, instead, go to Grimaldi's, just around the corner from that place. Best pizza you'll ever have, unless you go to Pepe's in New Haven, CT. And then you can walk around the waterfront and get the same view for free. For free!!!

Never heard of that cafe; probably a tourist place. Try menupages for other restaurants.
