Brooklyn [heart] U

Friday, 27th May 2005 by Alex

Slightly unfortunate placement of the Google logo here, but you can still just about make out this large type on a building in Brooklyn, which says ‘BROOKYLN [HEART] U‘. Awww, isn’t that sweet?

We don’t know what this building is, but Will Carlough says he’s going to check it out for us. Thanks Will (Although I’m fairly sure someone in the comments will beat him to it) ;-)

I haven’t found it yet, but I know there’s a house near the airport in Milwaukee with “Welcome to Cleveland” painted in giant letters on the roof.

I assume it’s intended to panic passengers into thinking they’ve taken the wrong flight.

Go seven clicks to the right and two clicks down. Lutheran Cemetery will be in view, and there’s a terrific example of pictures from different seasons. The picture of the west (left ) side of the cemetery seems to come from late fall or early winter, while on the right side the picture appears to have been taken in the summer.

For those of you too lazy to click, go Placemark: here / Google Earth.

The “Welcome to Cleveland painting was in the approach of runway 19R in the year 2002. Runway 19R is the white runway pointing north Placemark: Google Maps / Google Earth

I believe it is the Signs + Decal company. 410 Morgan Street, 11211

Thanks to a news story I found about this, I got it:

Placemark: Google Maps / Google Earth

You can’t really read the words, though you can pretty much tell they’re there.

Im going to have to agree with YoBrooklyn here. It is a signs and decal company located directly across from the Cooper Public houses. Also it is only
2 blocks from where the old Brooklyn Hospital was located. Also if you pan the map to the right you see two large rust colored circles. These 2 circles are all that remains of 2 very lag Gas Tank silo’s that were imploded about 4 years ago early one sunday morning. Also if you pan 4 blocks north and 1 block east you will see a small park next to the highway. This is called cherry park. If you look closely at the wall in the upperright hand corner of the park you will see a gap there. When i was a child people would go behind this wall and smoke the drug of thier choice. Just a little intresting sidebar.
