So quite a few of the trees stay green year round, while others drop their leaves at the first sign of a cool breeze. And yes, the texas pool gets deeper the further "north" you go. If you're curious, that campus across the freeway (loop 1604) is UTSA (University of Texas, San Antonio) and if you follow Loop 1604 west, you should eventually be able to see Sea World also (depending on how far out you're zoomed) Here in San Antonio it stays fairly warm most of the year, a typical year has only about 10-15 days below freezing. My first thought was that the picture was taken very early in the morning, but if that were the case it's unlikely that the parking lots at the nearby university campus would be as full as they appear. Hearing that the park is closed in the winter seems to be the answer - but are the trees in San Antonio leafed out in winter, as the trees in this picture are?
