Just a quick heads-up to let anyone interested know that we’ve updated the FAQ page with a bit more information about how the zoom level works on Google Maps. Many thanks to Ryan Jonasson and gIMpSTa for the information. There’s also now a separate entry on how to make sure your link is set to the maximum zoom level.

Link to specific places with a Google Maps link, or with a latitude and longitude written like this:
