There F/A-18 Hornets, mostly. Their carrier is in harbor in the Norfolk Navy Base. Ironically, this is all near the site of the first flight, *ever* http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=36.014042,-75.667992&spn=0.006856,0.008733&t=k&hl=en A little bit north of the Tomcat is the First Flight Memorial in Kitty Hawk.
