The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao was designed by Frank Gehry of California and is considered by many to be an architectural masterpiece. It looks just as odd from above as it does from the ground.

I noticed the Spain thing in the bottom of the item but I think it would be easier to identify if it where in the header in small little text below the title. Just so it is easier to locate the image.

Anyway, enough about my suggestions. That is a really cool image. The thing I like about Google maps is that you can see them from the top and it just makes the building look sooo much werider.

What’s the interesting bridge to the left of the museum?

  3. Twombly says:

That bridge is the Punt de lo Salve Bridge.

La Salve is the bridge to the right of the museum. The other bridge, le left one, is “Pasarela Padre Arrupe” http://www.travel-images.com/eusk32.jpg It connects Guggenheim with Deusto University.

I know its going to get old with a lot of the fresh place being posted from Europe, but you could add this to the Movie Locations category. It was in the opening scenes of the James Bond movie, “The World Is Not Enough” as was the Millenium Dome
