Middelgrunden Offshore Wind farm, Copenhagen
The Middelgrunden Offshore Wind Farm consists of 20 large 2MW windmills in the waters just outside of Copenhagen’s harbour. Covering a length of 3.4 kilometres, the curve of the windmills is designed to be a continuation of the super-ellipse formed by the roads of Copenhagen. There’s loads more info and some great pictures on the official website.

any idea what the strange unfinished bridge is to the south at

That’s the Öresund Bridge Tunnel. The “unfinished” part is the tunnel end of it. I’ve already submitted it, as it’s the first bridge between Scandinavia and mainland Europe since the ice age, and a beauty of a bridge.
Another cool wind farm - along Palm Canyon Drive just west of Palm Springs, CA:

Heh - I actually submitted that Palm Springs farm too - great because it has a LOT of windmills, but this one is just amazing (they are so big!)
Also in Tehachapi, CA. Unfortunately, it’s on the border of Hi-rez and lo-rez maps. Placemark: Google Maps / Google Earth
One of the interesting points about the Danish windmills is, that they actually provide more than 10% of the Danish energy. The number of windmills in Denmark is decreasing, but the size of each windmill and the power generated by them is increasing. The newest windmills have a height of 150 meter (450 foot).
It is generally knowledge today, that we could increase the use of wind power significantly (25% to 50%) by introducing energy consumption control into homes and factories, that make the freezer and central heater run when electricity is cheap (when there is much wind).
The Great Belt link it even more amazing than the Öresund bridge, and forms another part of the link between Scandinavia and the mainland.

Here the railway goes into a tunnel after the half-way island of Sprogø, but the road goes over the second-longest suspension bridge in the world!
If you scroll due west of the link coordinates, the famous Little Mermaid statue is right just beside the star-shaped landmass. There is a boat of sightseers directly next to it.
