For centuries, the port of [Aden][w] has served as Yemen’s gateway to the the world. Its distinctive double harbour lies in the crater of an extinct volcano. Over the years, a number of wrecked ships have accumulated in Aden’s harbour, many of which are visible in Google Maps imagery.
Lesotho is one of the most unique countries on the planet. It’s the southernmost landlocked country, the largest country that’s entirely surrounded by another country, and the highest country on Earth. Yet, it doesn’t really show up on too many people’s radar. With the arrival of Google Street View imagery this month to Lesotho, it’s time to shed some light on the world’s largest enclave.

It’s actually a triple if you count the railroad bridge to the left
Yes. This is actually an interesting place, because you can: follow the river west to a dam, which is only slightly off: pretty big, too! follow the river east to an OK bridge
There is also a plane in flight / Google Earth along with two missed bridges further down (up?) that river. It looks familiar, so it may have been posted in the planes in flight megapost.
just to the east is this wonderfully crazy messup: View Placemark / Google Earth
Just outside the airport is this nice design:

And the airport itself is misaligned, giving some interesting ghost planes:

There’s another plane in flight (West this time) near some more misalignment places:

Continues through this airport:

HA didn’t realize this was nearby until I clicked the google link. I cross that bridge all the time.
There seems to be another plane in flight / Google Earth…
Here is yet another plane off to the west:

And if you go even further to the west you can find this neat 4(?) lane underground highway tunnel thing.

Sweet, the highway (I-10) actually takes a nice stretch in a tunnel. I’ve never seen it from a birds eye view though. That is cool.
Check out this misaligned freeway: View Placemark / Google Earth the misalignment exactly manages to connect the northbound lanes with the southbound lanes! In fact, I’m willing to bet that this is the source for all of the misalignments in this post. Presumably an automated registration algorithm picked the wrong lanes of the freeway to match up, forcing the misalignment (I assume that someone wouldn’t have been stupid enough to do this manually!)
here’s another small tunnel which is maybe 1.5 mile further down the goden gate bridge…
it is just a small tunnes but at least it IS a tunnel

it’s fixed
