Marco: “Tower babies” are work of conceptual artist David Cerny. First baby was intended to go to the Museum of Modern Arts in Chicago, but due to the financial problems, it never happened. However, the baby statue was cast in fiberglass and shown in London (1999) and New York. Then the babies were put on the TV tower and they are there for good (or until they fall off

There was a funny rumour, that one of the babies’ heads is filled with cannabis. It wasn’t true and it is possible, that the rumour originated from Cerny himself. Well, that’s conceptual artist for ya….
