Jesus is NOT pronounced "hey-soos" in Brazil, because in Brazil we speak portuguese, and the J sound in portuguese is different from the spanish J sound. J sound in portuguese is more similar to english J sound... like in JAR.

It's Rodoanel in Brazil. It's already done, but these images are 3 years old. No idea abou the "Jesus".
Definitively, this isn't a common name in Brazil [I live there =]

Rodoanel links major highways in São Paulo: Régis Bittencourt, Raposo Tavares, Castello Branco, Anhangüera and Bandeirantes.

Maybe it was built by a guy names Jesus - pronounced hey-soos - not an uncommon name in Latin countries.

I see guys with "Jesus" nametags on their cars all over here in Phoenix. Most of them seem to be fond of fish......

I’m not quite sure what Jesus had to do with the construction of this tunnel..

Well, the guy who wrote it probably believed that Jesus was actually God incarnate, so, Jesus in fact created the hill that the tunnel goes through, as well as creating the materials used for the tunnel and the people building the tunnel.

In the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

Looks like the stretch of road is under construction, if you go down more, there is another (shorter) stretch of tunnel as well.
