At a capacity of 91,665 FedEx Field is the largest stadium in the NFL. This explains the VAST amounts of parking around the stadium, there’s even helicopter parking.

I know that picture well. We Autocross (race cars around traffic cones) there every month. You can faintly see what might be the remains of one of our courses over on the lots to the right of the stadium.

I’ve been there several times this year for the autocross. Taking pictures of a friend, not racing. My friend has the only Cougar.

It’s cool that you can see that course – if you have a chart showing all of the courses they’ve used, you could date the picture to within a few weeks. :)

Wow, FedEx Field is really really big huh?

To get a perspective of the size, go out to zoom level 5. If you put Fedex on the right edge you can also see RFK stadium on the left edge. Huge differance. Placemark: Google Maps / Google Earth

Should ask about how much for: * Tickets * Parking * Shuttle from parking

Speaking of racing in car parks the RFK stadium across the city hosted a round of the American Le Mans Series in its car park.

The interesting thing to do is compare FedEx Field with the Roman Colosseum side-by-side… not really that much difference in size if you factor in the age of the Colosseum.
