If you look at it in Google Earth, rotate 90 degrees (so west is up) and then tilt down your perspective, you see one of the coolest sights in all of Google Earth (in my opinion). I moved away from Boulder just this past fall, and lived south of Table Mesa, TheMatt. Go Buffs!

Isn’t Boulder meant to be the best place to live in the USA with regards crime, unemployment, standard of living etc?
Still can’t see whats cool about the rocks though - tilt or no tilt.

Take a look at the Flatirons on Google Earth (not Google Maps), then go a little north, and you’ll see an interesting mapping anomaly that locals have referred to as the “Great Boulder Chasm.” It heads east on Baseline, and goes out at least as far as the Nebraska border.
