The Vehicle Assembly Building at the KSC is usually quoted as having the largest enclosed volume.

Its footprint isn’t all that big, but it is tall enough to stack a Saturn V rocket inside, with room to spare.

Patrick – I drive on that road every day. That overpass between the two Boeing buildings is how the planes get from the assembly building (the big one) to the place where they’re painted. I’ve only been on the road once when a plane was being towed over – I think it usually happens at night.

That Boeing plant seems to have an awfully small road/ramp from the plant to the runways. Seems like the wings would pass right over the tops of the cars.
