Unidentified Flying Water Droplet

Friday, 5th January 2007 by Alex

We’ve had UFOs and Water Droplets, but never before have we seen an Unidentified Flying Water Droplet!

Even if this is just an area of land that Google hasn’t got the image for, then what happened? How did the satellite miss it? Is there some sort of anti-photography cloaking-device located here?

Conspiracy! Conspiracy!

Perhaps something happened to the photographic film, leaving a small hole? You guys know better than I how these pictures are handled, so you might have a clue as to whether or not that’s possible.

  2. 2. Eeb says:

Just the low-res map in an hole of the hi-res one. Period.

  3. 3. George says:

Clearly it’s a toxic cloud made from the spilled fuel from the UFO.

  4. 4. Sniderman says:

    Hmmm…

If a satellite pass is able to get a clear shot of the landmass below, one would naturally assume that there weren’t too many clouds. No clouds = no rain.

And yes, I play a meteorologist on TV. ;)

Somebody licked the lense. he he he

Two houses with outdoor pools. Clear image on Microsoft Live Search

  6. 6. randall says:

is it possible that this is a photograph taken by a plane instead of a satellite and the drop of water is condensation on the lens of the plane?

  7. 7. Amber says:

It seams like someone drew a huge d**k on the map and then blured it!!

Amber: They didn’t blur these out.

If you zoom in very close to the water droplet and look at the top right corner you can see a google copyright for what looks like 2008! There’s also a weird straight edge that they appear to have tried to blur into the main picture not entirely successfully. Maybe there was something governmental going on that they had to hide so they disguised it as a water droplet. If so, though, why does the Microsoft picture have everything in it?

  11. 11. vid says:

It says ‘Google 2006′ and it’s probably a spot missed by the planes that took the aerial photography.

What is this!!??? Placemark: Google Maps / Google Earth

In korea somewhere. They are weird clouds if you look at the shape and compare them to the ones near them and they have huge shadows totally black. Weird. Should look round korea, most of its not hi-res, but its beautiful. Sorry OT.

  13. 13. Zach Penland says:

Maybe it is something blurred for privacy? Google as done this in the past.

  14. 14. crunchynut says:

    it’s something blanked out!
if you zoom in close enough to the blurred area, it’s got the ‘we can’t zoom in enough’ sign…
might not be, just looking around.
    excellent site!

  15. 15. Bionicjoe says:

I live not far from that spot.
    Nothing there but regular houses.
    Pretty nice houses though.

  16. 16. Lucky says:

How often does Google update their maps? I replaced our roof in 2002, and this photo still shows the old one.

  17. 17. DeWayne says:

The picture is where a close up blurred picture is mixed in with a further out picture.
It is nothing out of the ordinary. These things happen all the time.

  18. 18. DeWayne says:

if you want to see something really weird look in Greenland at 70 27 32.37” N & 40 08 25.01” W. It looks like a huge airplane wing!

  19. 19. Roop says:

Hey it seems like something was flying around instead of something on the ground. So i would say there is a very small possibility that it was some thing out of this world just one of those experiments being conducted by US
Because the everytime u zoom on the surrounding area it shows a clear picture where as the questioned area there is no picture.
