The Swiss pictures are quite old - older than those before. And at least for Zurich, the image quality is worse than before.

As I've heard from a friend who works for the company providing the pictures (Endoxon), there will be an update with current images in a few months.

FWIW, I can confirm that the whistler pics are quite old. Probably circa 2003.

I found Grand Coulee Dam in high-res. Banks Lake, to the south, is partially complete, with the north end of Steamboat Rock (800 foot high mesa, 600 acres on top) visible in high-res.

I've got another stupid question, but here goes: When I download the upgrade for GEarth.... either the upgrade, or the google earth 4 version.... and I go to install it I get an error message: 0x80040708 No such interface supported. Set up will now terminate.

Has anyone else run into this issue? if so, what'd you do? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hey Patrick,

In addition to what Quentin replied, you may have to clear the disk cache to instantly get the new imagery. To do this go to Tools->Options->Cache.

Enjoy!

To patrick, the updates will automatically appear in GE when you start it up, you dont have to do anything. Note that you must be connected to the internet.

OK, here is what I hope is not too stupid a question. When Google does these updates, is it automatically loaded into Google Earth each time I open it anew? Or do I need to keep downloading newer versions?
