The Titanic was British, she was just heading to America when she sank... so I guess the Brits get to have two famous ships?

I guess nobody on this site is of drinking age then?

I'm not sure which I knew of first, but I knew of both well before I could drink.

Hum, "Probably the most famous ship in the world"... Maybe in the UK ?
You know that every country has his own "most famous ship in the world" : Titanic, France (the ship) etc...

The Cutty Sark is the most famous ship in the world, mostly because they say it is.

If that doesn't convince you then Ask Google.

“Probably the most famous ship in the world” - I think this is only true for people living in the UK, most of the rest of the world has never heard of it. A better contender for this title would be the Titanic, unless there is some semantic reason making this not a "ship".

I loved going through that tunnel when I was a lad!

We previously posted the Millennium Dome (nearly two years ago!) - all of which reminds me of another post I've been meaning to finish... :D

If you mean the little dome just next to the ship, it's actually one of the entrances to the Greenwich Foot Tunnel. You can see the northern end here:
http://googlesightseeing.com/maps?p=&c=&t=k&hl=en&ll=51.486514,-0.009248&z=19

Each one contains a manned lift down the the tunnel. Out of hours, you have to use the stairs. Route 1 of the national cycle network runs through the tunnel, yet cycling isn't allowed! Anyway, the tunnel is well worth a visit if you are in Greenwich.
