Eccentric or not, though, I've got a lot of respect for the guy. I can hardly make a model that comes out of a kit, let alone make a much bigger one out of scratch. One article I read said that he hasn't even had the chance to fly in any of the planes' actual-size counterparts... Maybe somebody will throw him a bone.
