on closer examination this is definitely a munitions depot. all buildings are at least 80m apart and have a shallow mount built around them to suppress any blast from reaching another storage unit. Typically a larger cordon area is needed for large munitions. Which leads me to believe its small arms munitions 7.62mm, rockets, rpg's, grenades. The largest munition i could envision being there is 82mm mortars due to the spacing and the size of the berm around each building. If there are armed guards still there they are guarding ammo and lots of it.Theres nothing serious there though like wmd's or gas cuz theres not enough covering the buildings i.e. concrete, dirt, large amounts of metal from contamination leaking out. It would be irresponsible for them to store stuff like that in a place like this.

This place was meant to keep ppl out not in. its very obvious it has a really good perimeter. 30m of exposed area outside of the facility. in that 30m a primary, secondary and tertiary entanglements have been set to slow down ppl trying to gain access from the outside. although these entanglements can only be seen on the eastern perimeter due to heavy overgrowth of maybe old plants they are evenly separated in a text book military manner. if looking into the facility from the outside behind the entanglements is a chain link fence and then a road. This is the outer rim road used by a roving watch in a vehicle to watch the outside perimeter. Due to the absence of guard towers or fallen buildings on the corners inside or outside of the facility you can probably rule out an "encampment". They where definitely guarding something. On the top right corner is a guard shack and formal gate to the facility, Which possibly couldn't have held more than 10-15 guards, not enough to hold ppl or lol zombies in :-). But my realistic guess is more like 2-4 guards at the gate and an additional 2 to drive the perimeter periodically looking for intruders. Due to its condition though and the fact that all the entanglements are no longer in place and overgrown this facility has long been abandoned as an operational military facility.

And why would they keep the barns for the animals separate like that?
It's very likely munitions ... either storage or manufacture. In either situation they like to keep buildings separate so a mishap in one doesn't blow the whole operation to kingdom come. Here's the former Royal Ordnance Factory (ROF) Bishopton: http://maps.google.com/maps?t=h&q=55.90838,-4.50518&ie=UTF8&ll=55.885758,-4.503622&spn=0.020988,0.058365&z=14
and here's a depot in Germany: http://maps.google.com/maps?t=h&q=55.90838,-4.50518&ie=UTF8&ll=54.207311,9.225211&spn=0.010943,0.029182&z=15
the lower left part is a shooting range, the central part held (holds?) 'regular' munitions and the heavily wooded (and largest) area at the top right held stuff too 'special' for the German military to guard ...
