@dr.R The building used as the exterior of Fawlty Towers would be here if it hadn't burned down in 1991. The hotel where Cleese was inspired to create the series is here, and still uses that fact as its main marketing point.

I remember Alton Towers before the rides, when the biggest feature was w four-lane slide…boring, innit?
Does anyone know, however, whether any other parks do the same thing Chessington does on the last day of the season – after official closing, everything stays on for the staff running unlimited rides until they decide to knock off…
