Oh yes we do. So you like the fact that the world has become basically a “big brother” show ?
You think perving on life like a voyuer is a good thing ?

Just wait until they install cameras everywhere, including PRIVATE HOMES.

Oh and the argument, “if you do nothing wrong what have you got to worry about” is completely childish.

No-one has the right to SPY on another. NO-ONE !!
As a private individual I STRONGLY object to being SPIED UPON – whether I ‘break the law’ or not is completely irrelevant.

Can’t you see what is happening ?

Just extrapolate Today’s electronic scrutiny to 50 years down the track (more like 10 years, but I’ll be conservative). Do you think it will get less ?

Oh as long as you OBEY you have nothing to worry about.

As to it being the same as somebody walking down the street taking pictures – you are completely wrong !!

You will find that if you take pictures of anything in the western world YOU RUN THE RISK OF BEING ARRESTED, PHOTOS CONFISCATED, EQUIPMENT STOLEN AND GENERALLY BEING HARRASED BY POLICE – all in the name of fighting TERRORISM !!

Grow up and use your brain in the future JOE !!

people need to stop complaining about having there photo taken out side..
this is the same as some one walking down the street and taking photos.
there is nothing you or any one can do about that. you have no reasonable
expectation of privacy in a public setting. i dont know why every one has a
problem with it when there are cameras all over the place and more being put
up all the time. no one asks who is looking at thoes..

How do we know this guy isn’t just faking being passed out as the car passes just so he can cause trouble with google later? Some people live off the need to complain about something.

I agree, Alex, the area doesn’t look that bad.

What I don’t understand is why Google is giving in so easily. After all, it’s not their fault that this guy chooses to sleep on the roadside just when the Street View car is passing by. In fact, they should sue him! Now the entire world has to suffer because *we* cannot see part of Broome Street, Lakes Entrance! It’s a shame!

@ dikko – hey, they have grass, the area can’t be all bad! Of course I’m unable to examine that exact place in detail due to the image having been removed… however a little Placemark: down the street / Google Earth it all looks quite nice really!
