It would appear the "anomaly" is about to disappear! They're onto us! Run for the hills!

> we were able to correct an anomaly that appeared in our imagery of a golf course in the Netherlands. It turned out to be an image-processing error that happened during our color-correction process, so we've removed it.

Pah! A likely story...

The strip of trees to the right also looks suspicios:

@ Fromage:
Thanks for this one! I haven't seen the use of mirroring on Google Maps before. It even continues a short way south.

The blurring doesn't do much good when you can go to the competitors site and pull up the same location and get a nice crystal clear picture.
see Koen's first blurred location in LiveMaps here:

The area directly next to it on the left (across the water) is suffering from the same affliction. The pattern is more scattered, but there is definitely a pattern there as well!

There's quite a comprehensive list of censored sites in the Netherlands, posted in the GEC forums.

Most of the sites are either military installments or government/royalty-associated buildings. Some are still unidentified if I'm not mistaken.

Here is the link:

Hmm... It looks more like some not-so-nicely aligned imagery, if you look closely here, http://googlesightseeing.com/maps?p=&c=&t=h&hl=en&ll=52.089956,6.129314&z=18 you can even see a horizontal line where two images come together. Like we have not seen that before...

I take it that the Silly Season is not over yet in the UK?
