The Awakening (the statue in DC) has since been moved to the National Harbor in Prince George’s County. Imagery in that area has not been updated yet, unfortunately. The Washington Post had a GREAT overhead shot of the giant’s face, on a trailer, as it was moved to National Harbor – his expression seemed to say, “Where are they taking me?” (The coordinates on the Wikipedia page refer to the old location, unfortunately.)

pretty sure that statue was in the Sandra Bullock movie “The Net”. pretty forgettable movie – the statue is about all that’s stuck in my memory.

@ cookie – a side by side comparison indicates it is a mini-replica of Fredericia.

You can see the port area and fortification shape are similar and if you zoom in to the south east corner of both you can see the similarities there as well.

I know ive cracked this ‘joke’ before but i must point out that in the absence of Mrs Cookie Monster’s arse appearing on GE then i suppose this does qualify as the worlds biggest arse.

In other news – what is the fortified like structure(s) to the east? A jazzy looking moat with Roman type buildings within. Anyone know?
