		<description>Osoyoos sure has changed since we used to go camping there in the 70&#039;s! 

I remember some years ago driving up from Osoyoos past the Spotted Lake when an Ironman race was being held. The temperature was well above 30C and they were riding their bikes up from Osoyoos over the Richter pass. It&#039;s hard enough to imagine being able to complete an Ironman, but to ride up that hill in that heat is crazy!</description>

You should know that upstate New York and actually most of the northern United States are icier and snowier than their closest Canadian neighbours.  As a skier I am consistently jealous of the amount of snowfall they get next door in New York and Michigan. 

Of course, if you live in Ottawa or Winterpeg, you might be forgiven for thinking that the entire country is iced in for half the year</description>
