That's Alderney, not Aldernay. :)

There's also Herm:
http://googlesightseeing.com/maps?p=&c=&t=h&hl=en&ll=49.471303,-2.445316&z=14

which is the smallest Channel Island that is open to the public (I stayed there last year, just before it was bought by the new owners).

Another interesting spot is Les Minquiers, a cluster of rocks that form part of the Bailiwick of Jersey. (I hope that the St Malo - St Helier ferry doesn't follow the route that the map suggests here: http://googlesightseeing.com/maps?p=&c=&t=h&hl=en&ll=48.974245,-2.108431&z=14 !)

There are meant to be a few houses on Les Minquiers but no permanent residents, although I couldn't find them on the satellite view.

There are definitely houses on Les Ecrehous, a collection of islets northeast of Jersey, but there is no imagery: http://googlesightseeing.com/maps?p=&c=&t=h&hl=en&ll=49.291322,-1.948013&z=13

There are photos at Panoramio though, e.g. http://www.panoramio.com/photo/6091737

Further south, and owned by France, are the Iles Chausey: http://googlesightseeing.com/maps?p=&c=&t=h&hl=en&ll=48.878038,-1.830425&z=14

Do you really mean "British Commonwealth" in the above post? Singapore and Hong Kong were both ruled by the British, and were both occupied by the Japanese in World War II. I suspect we're talking about different things here.
