Rotary International Roundabout
What looks like a roundabout in Sao Paulo, Brazil features the logo (and large type) of Rotary International. There’s another odd looking roundabout to the east.
Thanks: Sight

Is this dark grey triangle off the coast of Rio de Janeiro a giant Manta Ray? They can apparently grow up to 8 metres wide, so if a Manta Ray was swimming near the surface we might be able to see something at the maximum zoom level. Any sealife experts willing to prove it one way or the other?
We have no idea where exactly this is (lack of map data makes it a little tricky to work out), but check out the totally cool bridge somewhere in Brazil! Best shadow yet I think.
If anyone knows what and where this is, please let us know in the comments. Cheers
Update: Thanks to our helpful readers, we now know that this is the Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge which crosses the Paranoá Lake, in BrasÃlia. There’s an absolutely stunning image of the bridge available here, and another here, but the Wikipedia page is a little lacking. If interested, you could also read this article about it though.
There’s also some fascinating stuff in the comments thread about the construction and design of Brasilia itself.
Thanks to Ben Singleton and everyone who commented on this one!
Standing atop Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro is a 40 metre tall monument of “Cristo Redentor” (Christ the Redeemer). Since its inception in 1921 the monument has become the symbol of Rio de Janeiro and Brazilian people, who receive visitors with open arms.
The statue is standing on a circular base and is facing east (More info & ground level shots).
This post should probably go into Movie Locations but at the moment I can’t think of any movies which featured the monument. There was that great level in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 but I don’t think that counts
