Grand Canyon

Loads of submissions for this one, and man it is really, really big. Check out how far zoomed out we are! Also of note are the road around the rim, the visitors centre, and what appears to be a footbridge crossing the river.
When two satellite photos taken at different times are put together, one can see how the color of the Colorado river changes: View Placemark

I have crossed those foot bridges. The strip of green (top, center) contains a campground where we stayed. The trail you see on the right is the one we hiked down to reach it. Six hours or so to get down there . . . two days to get back up!
No Motivation
I woke up this morning to the beautiful music of a chainsaw sawing outside. I understand it’s spring and all, that trees need to be cut, bushes trimmed, plants planted, but geez…can you at least wait until afternoon to do that kind of stuff?
Check out the confluence of the calcium-carbonate-loaded Little Colorado River with the Colorado River
Ellray, the confluence of the colorados is truly beautiful in person. It is like a giant swimming pool, and body surfing is a great experience if you remember to go feet first(rocks are not visible, and they are there!). Cheers.
