Wow, what a launch we've had! Thanks to everyone who has submitted locations for us to check out. We've been overwhelmed by the response! If you've submitted somewhere and we haven't posted it please be patient as there are over 1700 submissions in the queue for us to review.
Thanks to the following for linking us:

We aren't the only ones obsessed about Google Maps.
Mike Pegg over at Google Maps Mania has an excellent blog detailing news, new features, background and gossip about the map service.
As Brits we're also pleased to see that Google have released Google Maps UK, currently no super-detailed satellite coverage but I'm sure they're working on it. Can't wait to get posting all those UK landmarks.
Thanks again for all the support.

No satellite coverage? Just go onto Google Maps USA, pan across the ocean on the scary “George W. Bush coalition world map” and select satellite mode. It doesn’t zoom in very far, though, but you can at least have fun looking at other parts of the world, too.
It doesn’t really hold its own against the US coverage though Badger. I’ve made my point clearer in the post 🙂
1700 submissions?! Wow.
Keep up the good work.
