Edinburgh Zoo

Edinburgh Zoo opened way back in 1913 and is probably most famous for the King Penguins, who have a daily "Penguin Parade" around their Penguin pool to the west, but for the thumbnail shot I've gone for the Darwin maze, which is shaped like a turtle.
I was browsing around for signs of life (very easy when you've been there hundres of times) and to the north there's a couple of white splodges in the Zebra park, they could be Zebra?
Here’s Melbourne zoo, near my place. The small green square in the middle of this link is the Elephant’s swimming pool and next to it is a small dark spot, which I assure you is an elephant! – there are two, the another is about 20 pixels away to the NNW.
I like the darwin maze. It makes me wonder: do they have weird anti-evolution people in the UK, or is that just exclusive to us lucky US inhabitants? If they named something after darwin here, there’d probably be protests, and the president would get involved somehow. I hate this place 🙁
We have some in the UK but it is nothing compared to what I have seen since moving to Kansas at the end of last year!
you moved from the UK to kansas?? Ouch!
i live in Kansas and i like it well enough.
Anne,
If you do not want to live in the same country as others who are exercising their right to express their opinion you can exercise yours to leave.
Or you could move to Darwin, MN, Darwin, CA, or on top of Mount Darwin.
remind me to stop expressing my opinion.

I love to see good patriotic ‘mercans say this kind of thing…. don’t they realize that they have the same option?
Otter
Those ‘zebras’ are in fact the bunkers of the nearby Murrayfield Golf Club!
