Mega Ramp
Tuesday, 16th August 2005 by James Turnbull
The Mega Ramp is the brainchild of professional skateboarder Danny Way. It's a nine-story monster half pipe built out in California's desert where Danny set world records for the longest and highest air on a skateboard in 2002. It's really, really big.
Danny Way has also built a ramp to jump over the Great Wall of China and recently took a version of the Mega Ramp to the X Games in LA where he took his second gold medal in the skateboard big air competition.
There's some crazy videos of the Mega Ramp on the official website.
Thanks to Matthew C.
Link in case inline picture doesn’t work. This ramp is insane.
1 comment. I can’t believe it. Everybody has tried jumping the wall in all kinds of vehicles and has either gotten injured or killed and Danny does it on a skateboard.
You ppl spend too much time in chat rooms and cell phones.
BTW…yes, cell phone + automobile = death.
That site where the Mega Ramp is is actually Point X Camp. It’s a huge facility for Skaters/Inliners, BMX’ers, and Motocross. You can see the dirt tracks, skate park, half pipe and the lake that is in the photo on the site as well. I’d be pretty stoked to go hang out there for a week…
