Ancient Roman City
Monday, 12th December 2005 by James Turnbull
One of many ancient roman cities in West Tripoli, Libya features an impressive amphitheatre. Much of this city, which is just north of the Libyan Museum of ancient history, is still to be excavated.
Thats another non interesting posts. Arent we going to get to a point where there simply aint anything interesting left to see?
Sorry you don’t think the Roman city is an interesting post vov.
We think there’s still hundreds of cool things yet to discover on Google Maps and Google Earth so if there is such a point then we’re not there yet. Of course, Google will likely update to Google Maps imagery at some point, so they’ll be a load of new places and things to see.
Roman ruins in Arab Libya? That’s pretty interesting, actually. Maybe it’s just a side-of-the-pond thing.
Dont listen to him sightseers! I too think it is interesting (whats not interesting about roman ruins hey? – what did the Romans ever do for us? ) and the last one was good too (made me dig my Frank Lloyd Wright book out to find out more). Keep up the good work!
I’m glad you posted this. I was actually looking for these particular ruins on google maps some months ago and didn’t find them.

The Roman Ruins are really interesting, I heard a lot of stories about them and so i had to visit them. They are beautiful and in a really good shape! I just cant wait to go back to Libya and see more of what it has to offer!
The desert is really amazing too.
just visit this website and you’ll see for yourself http://www.arkno.com/
Believe me – The Roman ruins in Libya are worth seeing – They are absolutely stunning! And an added bonus is that there are hardly any tourists or crowds – no commercialism. You can wander for hours around the ruins without bumping into anyone else.
They are truly a treasure!
