Leaning Tower of Niles
Saturday, 1st April 2006 by James Turnbull
The Chicago suburb of Niles is home to the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. No, wait, that can't be right! This must be the Leaning Tower of Niles, a 1/2 size recreation of the Pisa bell tower, however there's no bell as Niles' version is a water tower.
I think Niles and Pisa have been named sister cities.
Woo! I live right by there. The building just to the North of the Tower is the “Leaning Tower YMCA.” 🙂
Next, you should show the very first McDonald’s franchise store in Des Plaines, IL!
I drove by this thing every day on my way to work, I never knew why it was there or what the point of it was.
I have family near there and I’ve always wondered why it was there every time we drove by. Now I can stop wondering…
