I think hes having a running race on that new bit of road- the guy to the right is winning though.
Ha! he looks totally lost. I can imagine that it’s Mr.Bean running all weird down the middle of the road in one of his wacky adventures!
Eh ! This is Dresden, Germany, one of my favorite cities 🙂 This part of the new motorway going from Dresden to Czech Republic.

Based on the shape/position of his shadow, I’m guessing he’s skateboarding.

Ah yes Keith – you seem to be right. It seems we only plough motorways through peoples houses and areas of natural beauty in Britain. The idea of tunnel to save either does not seem to daunt the Germans – its a shame British road builders arent as resourceful.

Yeah i spotted that too Rich. Its a road to nowhere – i can just see Burt Reynolds driving The Bandit off the edge of it now! I’m guessing they just started the autobahn at either end and hope to meet in the middle some where.
Doesnt look like he’s in any danger seeing as though the road isnt finished yet… Conversely, if there was a car on the road, it would be in more danger than this dude…
@Weener – I love the idea they might be skateboarding – that would be a whole bunch of fun! It does look a little like they might be actually – especially the one just to the east of our thumbnail.
@Rich – crazy, that nearly had James and I for a minute there! The join isn’t obvious, but if you look carefully you can spot a line running through the trees. A nicer done seam than we usually see for certain.

Seems Andrew is right, the motorway is not quite finished yet, maybe they ran out of money =)
It’s just an incomplete section of highway. Looking west at the cloverleaf intersection with the other highway, cars southbound on the new road can only exit onto the east-west road. Looks to me like that dude’s got an orange hat on, and thus is probably part of the construction crew.
with all respect, you guys talke about such an unimportant thing, like a man walking down an unfinished road… so what? maybe yes hes one of the construction crew, maybe hes even skateboarding, i wonder are there no better sights today? it seems to me that googlesightseeing is running out of nice sights.

with all respect, I do think this is something definately worth being posted here.
It looks like these guys are skateboarding (or something like that). Doesnt’t the idea of having a whole piece of motorway as a playground give you some feeling of freedom? It’s just cool.
When I was younger, I hat some of those radio-controlled cars. One of them was a heavily modfied buggy. I used it to chase cars and in my hometown. It was fun (but also kinda stupid) to steer it between the wheels of tractors and their trailers. They are extending a motorway only a few kilometres from here now. Maybe I’ll re-activate my good old buggy and pay it a visit. 🙂
This reminds me ot that underground water canal they finished buildung about a year ago. They let skateboarders use it for some day before flooding it: http://wien.orf.at/stories/101613/

He’s probably a contractor or a trespasser… either way he’s in no danger there. The road looks really bright and is most likely new… Likewise there are shadows of signs on the road to the west probably warning people to keep off and not continue if they didn’t use the exit. And obviously to the east it confirms the fact it’s not completed since there is dirt moved around everywhere. Besides the satellite image is probably several years old and the map is newer which is why there’s a road for the map part of it.
Haha but I bet everyone already knew that!
