More cities added to Google Street View

Google have just added four more cities to Google Street View, the ground-level 3d panorama addition to Google Maps.
The new cities are:
which, like the original 5 cities of San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas, Denver and Miami, now have high-resolution, people-watching images.
If you find any fun, attractive or just plain weird images on street view then make sure to share them with the community in the Google Sightseeing Street View Forum.

I took a virtual stroll around Orlando and wasn’t terribly impressed. The image quality is terrible (don’t even bother zooming) and I found the coverage to be a lot less complete than the cities in the first batch. Which is too bad, because there are a lot of great sights in Orlando that could barely be seen here, if at all. 🙁
They’re still going around taking pictures… Quick, there’s still a chance to get in one.
Agreed. Zooming in is useless in the Orlando area.
On the other hand, they didn’t limit themselves to Orlando city limits. The coverage includes main roads from Daytona Beach, through Cocoa/Canaveral, and all the way down to Melbourne. They even took the road that leads up to the Kennedy visitor center where you can make out the shuttle tank and boosters mock-up.
There’s also some imagery through Kissimmee/St. Cloud. Highway 27 starting from US 192 up to the Turnpike, and Highway 19 up to Taveres and Mt. Dora. Also the entire length of Highway 50 from Clermont to Cocoa.
Could just see the back of my house in LA. Big Deal!
Agreed about Orlando. I grew up there and was looking forward to seeing some cool stuff there. Too bad they did it on a bad day, and only low-rez pics. Do Over!
I am cool with the shortened trips they took. It does not bother me that much. But the quality of Houston is pretty ridiculous. I was hoping to swing by Minute Maid Park in downtown and get a decent idea of when the images were taken by using the Craig Biggio hit counter displayed outside, but you can’t even kind of read it…I do love StreetView though! \m/
The Los Angeles Spring Street View shows where Arnold’s (the Terminator’s) L.A. Office is located. Ronald Reagan State Building. That place is heavily gaurded…I used to hate going thru their damn metal detectors and emptying my pockets everyday while I worked there. I’LL ‘not’ BE BACK!
