Giant Squid!
Tuesday, 11th March 2008 by Rob
Swimming perilously close to the shore of Delray Beach, Florida, are almost definitely two of the mythical creatures that are the Giant squid! The first does look slightly fat for a squid, but I'm willing to throw doubt aside in this case.
And if that isn't enough grounds for baseless speculation as to the existence of these elusive molluscs, another is seen just to the east (I've enhanced the contrast for added credibility).
Not that I need any extra credibility of course...
I will point out that submarines have been caught trying to smuggle narcotics into US territory. I would much rather think that it’s a squid. But still.
Ctulhu is coming!!!
i found a Lochness monster right next to it if you look around it. its right out from a basketball court from ocean blvd. hope you find it.
The first one looks more like a boat than a giant squid.
No doubt there will be a lot of “Here’s one, too!” posts, so let me be the first one: View Placemark It’s a pity though that the links are not to GSS but directly to Google Maps.
At around 4x longer than an actual giant squid, these guys could cause some real trouble.
They also have an uncanny ability to camouflage themselves to look exactly like the wake from a motor boat.
The waters will never be safe again!
Shun the non-believer!
wow, that’s odd, its swimming on the surface so fast that it is leaving a huge wake like a boat.
Where’s the squid? Is it hiding under the boat with the big wake behind it? Where I come from we call boat wakes Ogopogo.
If you look closely, in the wake of the second squid, a question mark is left behind. Perhaps the beast, too, questions whether or not he (or she) is a giant quid.
@Chris: A giant quid? The british are invading with their currency!

I guess you’ve never seen small boats in low resolution.
eso no es un calamar…. es un yate haciendo una estela en el agua…..
’bout as kosher as a sick squid note…
that is a boat.ok?
Must be a high-speed squid, that one.
The photos are crap, could be anything. Who took these photos, obviously they were in a plane or helicopter. Any way nice try
Bull. Zoom out a little and check the size of it in relation to some of the buildings along the shore. yeah, right … the giant squid is as big as a factory … sigh.
it probably is a giant squid but it’s really weird how there’s a question mark behind the squid on the second photo.
it looks like two motarboats…
or maybe just yachts…
Yachts are closer to 65ft right?
its called a “kracken”
