Desert Week 2011
Monday, 20th June 2011 by Alex Turnbull
As is customary, the "much-more-interesting-than-it-sounds" desert week is one week late again this year! However, our writers have been touring (in some cases literally) the deserts of the world, to bring you the most fascinating sights to be found in places that are defined by their lack of any significant volume of precipitation! (Er… basically, we’ll mostly be posting about deserts this week.)
Until then, why not enjoy the posts we featured in previous years:
Desert Week 2010
- Great Sandy Desert
- The Tabernas Desert
- The World’s Largest Desert: Antarctica
- The Lut Desert
- The Atacama Desert – Another World
Desert Week 2009
- UTA Flight 772 Memorial
- Desert Dome
- The Osoyoos Desert
- Wadi Rum
- Death Valley
- Shiprocked on the Highway to Hell
Desert Week 2008
Of course, we've got loads of other posts on the site featuring deserts, but if there’s somewhere that you’d like to see featured this week, why not send us your suggestions and we can do a roundup at the end of the week of the best sights sent in by our readers!
Very nice…. looking forward to the rest of this week’s posts!
PS. Oh my F**K! They ACTUALLY deleted you from Google+………
