Just in case you hadn’t noticed yet, we’ve finally made the move to a permanent domain. Welcome to googlesightseeing.com!

RSS feed has also been updated (googlesightseeing.com/feed/), as has the comments RSS feed (googlesightseeing.com/comments/feed/).

We’ve also been getting more press coverage. There’s an article over at the Weekly Planet about Google Maps which James was interviewed for (which looks like it’ll be the cover story in the print edition too), and I did an interview for Newsweek.

Thanks again for all the support we’ve received from everybody! :-D

It looks like the University of Washington graduation day at Husky Stadium. I hope no-one is late as the Montlake Drawbridge to south is letting a sailboat through so there’s a bit of a traffic jam.

Six Flags Over Texas is part of the ‘Six Flags’ chain of Theme Parks (we’ve many others to post) and they apparently filmed the movie Spy Kids 2 here (albeit replacing some of the rides with ‘more crazy’ CG versions). A little to the north is the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water park.

To the south west you’ll also find The Ameriquest field, home of the Texas Rangers.

Updated

To the West of Hawaii there’s the French Frigate Shoals, which look a lot like a Giant Pacific Alien Dolphin Thing. The dolphin shape is actually a number of small islands, one of which has been enlarged to create an airstrip.

A Dolphin?

Here’s a cool sculpture, ‘Picture This‘ outside the North Carolina Museum of Art is made of all sorts of different stuff (pavement, wooden boardwalk, sand, gravel, etc). Tom Cole says:

It’s almost impossible to clearly make this out at ground level

He’s right too. Over at the Museum’s homepage they’ve got some ground level shots, and it certainly doesn’t look like much from down there… looks great from up here though!
