Out in the Atlantic Ocean is a small patch of high-res photos where you’ll find the island of Bermuda, an internally self-governing island overseas territory of the United Kingdom. Reader Patrick pointed out a Cruise Liner docked to the East of the island and Bill Beaty noticed a “wave-radiating aperture” for all you physicists.

Note also at the airport an airplane is JUST finishing crossing the threshold about to land. A Rare moment to be caught indeed!

Ironically, I was looking at this a few weeks back as I was just in Bermuda for vacation. The town that the ocean liner is in is Hamilton, Bermuda although the biggest ships land over at Dock Yard (here: Placemark: Google Maps / Google Earth). It’s a really nice island with spectacular views.

I’m quite surprised by the level of detail around some parts of Bermuda. Its quite relaxing to zoom in and scroll around. I spent an hour determined to find a shark or whale but without success! lol
