Dodger Stadium

Friday, 27th May 2005 by James

Dodger Stadium is home to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Apparently everyone drives in L.A. so the stadium has parking for 16,000 cars on 21 terraced lots raised to the same elevations as the six different seating levels (so you don’t have to climb stairs once parked). It is also the only Ball Park to have its own Gas Station.

I went to that game… They didn’t get beat.

God forbid any of those lard arse yanks should have to climb any stairs on their way to watch other people break into a mild sweat.

Dodger Stadium is truly one of the best stadiums to watch a baseball game. As to the parking situation, those coveted lots near the stadium that are on the hill behind home plate are more expensive and are mostly dedicated to season ticket holders. Consequently, they have seats that are closer to the field, and thus are at a lower elevation. The rest of us get to park in the outer parking lots, and march our “lard arses” up the hill to buy tickets and watch the game. I’ll take baseball over a 3 day long cricket match. Wait, it just seems like 3 days.

I live in Vegas and yes Cashman field is lame. I have been to Yankee, Wrigley, Petco in San Diego, and Dodger Stadium. In my opinion, and this is only my opinion, Dodger Stadium is nothing to get excited about. The architecture is lame the seats are old and the Dodger Dogs are okay. Give me Wrigley field any day. I just don’t see the awe about Dodger Stadium.
