Broken Bridge

Saturday, 13th August 2005 by Alex

This bridge near Istanbul, Turkey looks likes it been smashed to pieces! Presumably it’s under construction, and they’re floating the pieces out into place. Either that or it’s some sort of freaky swing-bridge… ;-)

Japanese Ferris Wheels

Saturday, 13th August 2005 by James

Daikanransha is a 115m Ferris Wheel on Odaiba, a island in Tokyo bay built on reclaimed land. There’s all sorts of cool looking buildings on Odaiba so have a good scroll around, I haven’t a clue what any of them are though.

Although not the elusive ‘World’s Largest Ferris Wheel‘ I think Daikanransha lays claim to the title of ‘world’s second largest’, with the previously posted Texas Wheel coming in 3rd place (Remember, the London Eye doesn’t count!).

Again, not the world’s largest, but here’s another cool ferris wheel in Japan. Can anyone name this one?
